The Last Word

I will NEVER give a one-star review for a book after reading The Last Word by Taylor Adams, it could prove to be fatal.

When a reclusive neighbor recommends a grizzly, poorly-written horror story to Emma she feels compelled to write such a review because the book was just that awful!

Emma, who is at a crossroads in her life after suffering a terrible loss, is housesitting at a remote beachfront home off the coast of Washington state. After posting her review bizarre, frightening and dangerous things begin to happen. Is Emma being stalked or is she just imagining things? Can she trust her neighbor? Can she trust her own mind?

As she discovers more about the author of the book and learns that he has penned a number of equally disturbing, graphically detailed books she begins to believe that he is her nemesis.

This tense, action-packed thriller has so many shocking twists and turns I was completely riveted. I was kept guessing right up to the dramatic, frenzied conclusion.
